Michael Pry began his journey into the world of photography in 1969 at the age of 12 with a beat up 35mm camera and a makeshift darkroom in the corner of his parent’s root cellar. At age 13, he was invited to photograph Muhamhad Ali ringside. So begins Mike’s thirty five year love affair with the photographic image.
Mike’s photographic style has resulted not from formal study, but rather a self directed, lifelong immersion into the works of great master photographers. This solid foundation, combined with a unique process in which Mike becomes a participant, rather than a conductor in each photograph, makes for a perfect fit with the people in Harley Nation.
