Luckhardt wrote the introduction, and on the first page, Luckhardt has written a long note to "Bill" (Dr. William Bloom) about this essay and about other lectures he was preparing; his ink note covers top of first page and left margin. Luckhardt known for the introduction of ethylene, "laughing gas." Monograph is 22 pp long.
