There is a crease on the upper corner of the last few pages, with another small red stain near the top of the last page and a previous owner's gift inscription on the free end paper. Inscribed by the author on the half title page with a traditional Chinese birthday greeting. Jacket is torn on the bottom of the front cover, with chipping and tearing along the upper edge.
