MY INDIA - bound in Red Morocco & Signed by Jim Corbett

First published in April 1952, was sold out immediately, this second printing (impression) was published in May. This volume is signed by Corbett in July 1953. This was part of an extensive collection of Corbett related books and ephemera once owned by UKs collector, Wilson Lundy and during his life time he amassed hundreds of different Corbett editions including 36 copies of signed books by Corbett. All the signed copies were skilfully bound in full or half in Red Morocco by the Period Book Binders in Bath, England. This volume of My India is one of the fully bound in Red Morocco ( see images), with gold lining in front and back, and titles on the spine also in gold with six raised bands. Here Corbett recalls some of the colorful characters he associated with during his lifetime spent in India, including encounters with one of the most fearing bandits, Sultana. This semi autobiographical volume appears to be unread and in very good condition despite its 70 year old. 190 pages with end maps.
