Thomas, Jr. was the son and business successor of his father, the prominent newspaper publisher and author, and founder of the American Antiquarian Society.Signed pamphlet. 36pg. 5 x 8. August 29, 1812. No place [likely Worcester]. A pamphlet entitled An Oration, Pronounced At Worcester, (Mass.) On The Thirty-Sixth Anniversary Of American Independence, July 4, 1812, By Francis Blake. It is signed on the top margin of the front cover John Wheelson from his friend Isaiah Thomas Jr. Augt 29, 1812. The extreme top edge of the inscription has been trimmed. There is light foxing and soiling to the front cover, and the condition is very good. Seller Inventory # 2996

I am an author myself, having published The Last Leaf: Voices of History's Last-Known Survivors (Prometheus Books, 2010) that contains 39 interviews with the last survivor of, or final eyewitness to, important historical events. Chapters include interviews with the last three Civil War widows, the final living pitcher to surrender a home run to Babe Ruth, Houdini's last stagehand, and the final American doughboy.
Lastly, I can frequently be seen authenticating and appraising on the History Channel hit show Pawn Stars.
