Black and white magazine photograph trimmed from the May 19, 1961 "Life" magazine profile. Candid closeup of Shepard gazing with left hand to forehead, boldly signed and inscribed by him in purple ballpoint in a white area at lower right: "To Donald Burnell / Alan B.
