Reprint. Paperback. 19.5 × 12.5cm, 89pp. Signed directly to the title page by Avril Dankworth. "Here is a book on jazz with a difference - not one more collection of anecdotes about people and places, but an introduction to jazz itself, to the actual music. Simply written, it tells about the chords, the rhythms, the melodies: how they have come about and how jazzmen use them." Avril Dankworth was a musical educator and sister to the musician Johnny Dankworth. Condition: A very good copy but with some spotted foxing to the pages' top edge.

Shipping terms
A note on our shipping: due to the ever increasing cost of sending books abroad (recent price changes for Royal Mail have reduced the costs to the US but Australia and Asia are rising), we have had to raise our prices in line with the increases.
We post at cost and if the book is cheaper to post than the default price shown by abebooks, we will reduce this cost when processing the sale. Alternatively, you can check the correct price at www.coxandbudge.co.uk before ordering where it is costed by weight.
