Table des 37 hors-texte in fine dont de nombreux fac-similés de lettres de Lorrain. Achevé d'imprimer le 12 juin 1928 sur les presses du maître imprimeur R. Coulouma è Argenteuil, H. Barthelemy directeur pour le texte, et par les établissements Vigier et Brunissen è Paris, pour les planches. Tirage è 330 exemplaires. Celui-ci, en second papier, un des 20 exemplaires sur Hollande après 10 exemplaires sur Japon et avant 300 sur vergé d'Arches. Cet ouvrage constitue la première véritable biographie de Lorrain ; la plus documentée pour l'époque. On la doit è Georges Normandy, exécuteur testamentaire de Lorrain, qui, dès 1907 avait donné au public un premier aperçu de la vie de l'auteur de M. de Phocas (Jean Lorrain, son enfance, sa vie, son oeoeuvre, Bibliothèque générale d'Edition), texte qui avait été remanié pour l'édition Vald Rasmussen en 1927. Cette nouvelle biographie est très riche d'anecdotes biographiques et offre en fac-similé des autographes de Lorrain qui faisaient partie de la collection particulière de Normandy. Quelques infimes piqères sur les témoins, petits manques de papier en bas du dos qui est marqué de plis et décoloré sinon bon exemplaire de cet ouvrage peu courant et fort rare en grand papier.".
