Store Description

Located on the big island of Hawaii, Friends of the Libraries, Kona (F.O.L.K.) is a non-profit 501(c))3) organization. Our mission is to strengthen the Kailua-Kona and Kealakekua communities by enhancing library services and programs to improve literacy. Only 38% of elementary students in our community read at grade level. FOLK is working to change that by funding literacy programs and presentations that complement what children learn in the classroom. Every book purchased on this site helps support these efforts at our two libraries. We hold monthly book sales events, and this store is where we offer our high value books.
