About this Item

A 1920 incomplete portfolio. The complete set had 16 limted edition etchings. This portfolio has only 8 of the set. The text is in German. Limited edition of 20 , this set is number 10. Contains 8 of the 16 etchings. The portfolio cover is in fair condition , has a stain on the front inside cover at the bottom right hand side and up 7 1/2" (water stain and foxing). Lots of edge wear. Each one of the etchings are worth quite a bit, the remaining etchings are in very good condition signed by Johannes Thiel at the bottom right hand corner of all the etchings. The etchings very a little in size. The borders are 17" tall and approximately 15" wide. I have measured one etching which is 7 1/2" tall and 5 1/2" wide. This will give you a broad idea of the rest. A rare and hard to find portfolio in a very small edition.
