A smart re-issued edition of this exciting novel from British writer Piers Paul Read, signed by the author. Re-issued. Signed by the author to the front endpaper for a member of the New Fiction Society. Following a young English diplomat posted to Berlin in the 1960s who falls for a young woman named Suzi. By getting to know Suzi's flatmate, our narrator learns about the lives of two generations and their reactions to Hitler's war. Written by Piers Paul Read, a British novelist, historian and biographer. In the original orange cloth binding. Externally, very smart with minor wear to the extremities. Original price-clipped dust wrapper is smart with light wear and minor chipping to the extremities. Minor sunning and the odd small mark to the panels. A New Fiction Society sticker to the tail of the spine with the odd small closed tear to the panel edges. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean throughout.
