SIGNED BY PETER SCOTT WITH INSCRIPTION. Scott was the founder of the WWF and the Wildfowl Trust, and was of course the only son of the legendary explorer Robert Falcon Scott, who died in 1912 during an ill-fated Antarctic expedition. Revised 1972 coloured edition of Peter Scott's most famous book is beautifully bound in black leather with bright gilt trimming, there is some superficial wear to the leather, a few light scratches, mostly on the back cover, the edges are lightly tanned with a few spots, the pages are clean, the illustrations colourful and the binding is tight.
