I'll Be You and You Be Me by Ruth Krauss, pictures by Maurice Sendak. The Bookstore Press, 1973. Presumed first printing softcover in near fine + condition. Tight binding, clean unmarkd text, square corners, minimal wear. Inscribed by Maurice Sendak, "For Heather and Rebecca, Maurice Senadak" on title page. This 1973 Bookstore Press edition of I'll Be You and You Be Me pair Ruth Krauss's whimisical storytelling with Maurice Sendak's charming illustrations. Originally published in 1954m this later issue retains Sendak's artwork and has become a collectible in its own right. THis copy is especially desirable as it is inscribed by Maurice Sendak whose autograph is sought afterby collectors of children's literature and illustrated books.
