LAZARE CARNOT (1753-1823). The multi-talented Carnot was a French scientist, military officer and politician. During the French Revolution, he led the Committee of Public Safety.DS. 1pg. 8 x 11. Paris. May 31, 1819. A letter signed Carnot as Minister of the Interior. He acknowledged receipt of a military letter. The letter has mailing folds and a dark autograph.
