Presentation copy, inscribed and dated by Ritchie York to Eric Idle on the front flyleaf: "For Eric: All the best. Nice to meet and hope to see you again before too long. Sincerely, Ritchie". Yorke gave Idle's The Rutland Dirty Weekend Book (1976) a glowing review in his "Number One with a Bullet" column in the December 18, 1976 issue of RPM Weekly. Idle (b.1943) is a founding member of the British comedy troupe Monty Python, as well as the parody rock group The Rutles, and is the writer of the music and lyrics for the hit Broadway musical Spamalot. According to a tweet by Idle, Led Zeppelin contributed £31,500 to financing Monty Python anf the Holy Grail (1975), and both Robert Plant and Jimmy Page attended the film's premiere. Established in 1981, johnson rare books & archives is located at The Book Shop in downtown Covina, about 20 miles east of Los Angeles. The shop is open six days a week and houses an inventory of some 30,000 titles, ranging from the general second-hand to the truly antiquarian.
