Limited to 750 copies. This copy is inscribed by Edward Everett Dale on the front flyleaf. Autobiography of the Scottish-born cattle baron and ranch manager who played a major role in the American Northwest's livestock industry, particularly in 1880s Wyoming. Octavo: xvi, 405, [1, blank] pp. with a frontispiece portrait and 16 illustrations. Original burgundy cloth binding, with black and gilt-stamped titling and decoration. Light bump to the top corner of the front board; else fine.

Established in 1981, johnson rare books & archives is located at The Book Shop in downtown Covina, about 20 miles east of Los Angeles. The shop is open six days a week and houses an inventory of some 30,000 titles, ranging from the general second-hand to the truly antiquarian.
