very Good (little wear covers with spine title worn). A young lady by the name of Diane Holznagle (her name is in ink of the front endpaper) has drawn a few pictures on several rear blank pages & colored in some of the illustrations; also with some crayon marks on the two last pages of the text. Uncommon to encounter a signed copy. 8vo., black cloth with pictorial paper plate on front cover; 159 pages Later Edition. Signed presentation from Corey on the front endpaper: "To Charlotte- Who is Never Wilful, but always charming- David Corey. Xmas 1929.".
