About the Author

The journey to The Land of I Can is, at the same time, the longest and shortest voyage any of us will ever experience. In less than three months, Susan Gilbert lost two of the most important people in her life, her mother and her husband, to the ravages of cancer. With her life in chaos and unprepared to be on her own, Susan found herself paralyzed with terror. The decision to continue living her life, to maximize it, came when she realized she was responsible for the fear that held her captive. She stepped to the edge of her light as she knew it, and moved into the unknown with the faith that she would land on solid ground - or fly!
After a successful career in sales with AT&T, Susan traveled into the new land of an entrepreneur when she created a five location bakery/cafe chain, a publishing company promoting one world and more recently working with other "messengers" - individuals who have a message to share with the world.
She cherishes time spent with family and friends; and, embraces life through her love of piloting, long walks whether on the Camino or at home, spending time with her fur friends (dogs, horses, and chickens) and world travel.
