About this Item
The mule and his driver are walking along a path in the foreground. A rocky coast with a ship near a harbour in the background. Etching on hand laid paper (with watermark J. Kool & Co.), sheet size 247 x 302 mm., platemark 184 x 213 mm., etching by Johannes van Cuylenburgh (1793-1841), inspired by a print by Jan Both (1618/22-1652). Signed and dated in the plate lower right. In very good condition, with ample margins. Margin edges lightly browned and with some mild creases. Seller Inventory # 70225
