New York: Simon and Schuster, 1950. Presumed later printing though final page has been torn out (presumably by Scarry's nephew) and we have been unable to determine the printing. Octavo. Publisher's pictorial paper-covered boards; Unpaginated; color illus. throughout. Light edgewear and tear along bottom fifth of spine; general soiling. Binding sound. Final page torn out by previous owner; Good only. Inscribed by Richard Scarry and his wife and collaborator Patricia "Patsy" Scarry at title page: "To Jack from Aunty Patsy and Uncle Richard." With Jack Scarry's later ownership stamp to copyright page. Provenance: Purchased directly from Jack "J.J." Scarry, nephew of Richard. One of Scarry's earliest works.
