No Binding. Condition: Near Fine. Possible 1st Printing. Maroon Cloth, Gilt Titles. 1918 (November, 1917) Good condition. Included are 2 photographs, both originals. 1 is dated April, 1918 and the other is signed by Catherine Breshkovsky in her nice flowing script with a short note underneath, assumed from the former owner of the book 'Jerome'. The photos are different but a similar pose having been taken at about the same time & place during a reading or possibly just at home sitting at a table wearing, what appears to be, the same dress as in the frontis photo of the book. Also included are several newspaper articles (clipped), one dated November 1, 1918 stating how she was "Put to Death by the Bolsheviki" with a portrait. 2 others written before she was executed but no date found, assumed 1917 or 1918. One is still glued along the bottom edge to the front fep, the other photo has a paperclip rust ghost along the top edge where it was clipped to the rear fep. clip and ghost mark remain in evidence to the rear fep. ALSO. a photo post card dated 1917 showing a building in Moscow riddled with bullet holes, and a ststement on the back attesting to its authenticity in the same hand and name as on one of the photos. (Jerome ?) A truely remarkable collection of fairly unique items. Seller Inventory # 003239
