Item description from seller

North Adelaide, Corkwood Press, 1998/ 1965; 1999/ 1967; 2000/ 1971; 2001/ 1971; 2002/ 1975; and 2003/ 1983. Octavo, six volumes, each volume approximately 170 pages with illustrations by the author plus plates (some in colour) and endpaper maps. Gilt-decorated full kangaroo (each volume a different colour); minimal light scuffing to one front cover; essentially a fine set. All but one volume is copy number 15 of only 50 copies of these deluxe editions ('Blast the Bush' is number 18). 'Too Long in the Bush' is inscribed, dated (December 1998) and signed by Beadell's widow Anne; 'Blast the Bush' is inscribed, dated (September 1999) and signed by Beadell's daughter Connie Sue, and by his son Gary and widow Anne; 'Bush Bashers' is also inscribed, dated (December 2000) and signed by Connie Sue. Beadell named several roads (which he humorously dubbed 'highways') after his family: the Anne Beadell Highway, the Connie Sue Highway, the Gary Highway and Gary Junction Road, and Jackie Junction (for his second daughter). Offered together with copies of the uniform deluxe editions of Beadell's 'Around the World in Eighty Delays' (1997; number 15 of 50 copies, inscribed and signed by Anne Beadell), and 'A Lifetime in the Bush. The Biography of Len Beadell' by Mark Shephard (1998; number 15 of 100 copies, inscribed and signed by the author and Anne Beadell). Loosely inserted are a number of order forms, prospectuses and receipts for these publications. [8 items].
