Item description from seller

b/w; 4to ; 40+(2) pages; This is #428 of 500. Brown cloth with white spine. Signed by Felix Hoffman. German language. Synopsis: Shortly before 1880[3] in downtown Vienna: The family estate of the widow Mrs. Von Murska in the Russian part of Poland is under trusteeship. The widow has to take out loans and lives with her two daughters in a small apartment on Kärntnerstrasse in Vienna. Murska's wife would be free of her financial worries in one fell swoop if her adult daughter Arabella, a good-looking person, married her admirer, the wealthy Vladimir. Vladimir's parents, a Baltic countess and an Austrian officer, have died. The connection does not occur. The proud, dissatisfied, impatient Arabella feels drawn to Mr. Von Imfanger. Nevertheless, Vladimir doesn't give up. In white slip case with staining.
