About the Author

Paris Singer has resided in Washington D.C. since 1970, where she became a professional photographer for congressional committees, journals, and travel documentaries. Her photographs of Washington D.C. during the day of 9/11 are part of the Smithsonian National Museum of American History's collection, "September 11: Bearing Witness to History." Diogenes was rescued from a trailer where he had been chained and abandoned, leaving him so flea-bitten he was hairless. Since his rescue, he has grown into a true "cynic" in the best, and original, meaning of that term: tasting everything for himself and living an authentic life in accordance with Nature. Now that he is old enough to drink, he is preparing for his next literary appearance: Cocktails with Diogenes. Paris' and Diogenes' co-author, Adam Russell, is a Rhodes Scholar and rugby player, who along with his wife, Bartlett, rescued Diogenes. When he and Bartlett first met the abandoned puppy and saw him trying to lift a stick three times his size, they knew a fellow "warrior-poet" when they saw one.
