12mo, (150x95mm), 180p. hand-coloured engraved frontispiece; very slightly spotted. Original green morocco-grain cloth, gilt lettered on the backstrip, with an arabesque ornaments within an ornamental frame blocked in blind on the front and rear covers, slightly spotted and a little faded, the endleaves split along the front joint. Formerly the copy of Elizabeth Threlfell of Seascale Hall, Cumberland, with her signature, dated 1854, on the front free endleaf and her rendition of the famous inscription: '.is my name And england is my nation. I hope the Lord will of me [sic] when I am quite forgotten' on the recto on the frontispiece. A rare copy of a letter-writer, COPAC locating only the British Library copy; printed in Otley by Webb and Millington.
