Historische Ortsansicht, von Cordier, nach Karl Girardet. 15,8 x 9,9 cm (Darstellung / Einfassungslinie), 23,5 x 15 cm (Blatt).Aus: Hippolyte Durand, Le Rhin allemand et l'Allemagne du Nord (Tours: Alfred Mame 1865). Blatt im Randbereich vereinzelt schwach fleckig. Insgesamt aber guter Zustand.Cordier (zweite Hälfte 19. Jh.). Xylograf.Karl Girardet (1813 La Locle - 1871 Paris). Französischer Illustrator, Historien- und Landschaftsmaler. Schüler bei Léon Cogniet in Paris. 1836-70 beschickte er den Salon. 1842 großer Erfolg mit dem Gemälde - Überraschung einer Protestantenversammlung durch kathol. Truppen. 1842 Studienreisen nach Italien und Ägypten. 1846 ging er im Auftrag von Louis-Philipp nach Madrid um die Hochzeit des Herzogs von Montpensier zu dokumentieren. Nach 1848 war er einige Jahre in Brienz ansässig und beschäftigte sich mit Landschaftsstudien. Unten rechts im Druckstock signiert Cordier Unterhalb der Darstellung betitelt. 15,8 x 9,9 cm (Darstellung / Einfassungslinie), 23,5 x 15 cm (Blatt). Seller Inventory # 00118225
