Hardcover with gilding on front and spine. Tipped in is a letter of introduction (and envelope) by Markham dated 1924, introducing on Arthur Jackson to Claude Meeker, a notable newspaperman and political figure from Columbus, OH, Condition of boo is near VG, with external wear and mild grubbiness. One should note that this edition, while not the first of Markham's notable book, was the first with the Howard Pyle illustrations, and is therefore somewhat collectible as a result.
