Parrish letter has a rusty paper clip mark to the upper left corner and was folded for mailing. ; Typed letter, one page, signed Maxfield Parrish. Approx. 8 1/2" wide by 11". Printed heading Maxfield Parrish, Windsor, Vermont, with typed date September 15th, 1925. Replying to "My dear Grafly" [Charles Grafly] regarding a woman seeking an introduction: "I have your rhapsody of the 11th and though agreeing with you that the lady's mission is more or less of a mystery, . I dare say it is our duty to give the young a boost, .tell Miss Pearson its [sic] all right, . [but] she had better write first ." Included is Lucy Helen Pearson's handwritten, two page letter to Grafly seeking the introduction, on the printed letterhead of the International Student Fellowship, with her name as director, Chicago. Grafly was a sculptor who taught at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts. Seller Inventory # 359769
