Barry Wallenstein's newest volume features a departure from his usual lyric and narrative short pieces. He creates a sequence that with each poem adds detail and depth to a created character-a persona that has the resonance that one associates with characters in a full length novel or play. Told in verse that is subtle and open, his stories provide a universal message by illuminating desire, loss, and the sad but beautiful follies of our lot.
About the Author:
Barry Wallenstein is the author of four previous books of poems. He teaches literature and creative writing at the City College in New York. For many years he has been performing and recording with jazz musicians and is a pioneer of the current generation in this field. He lives in New York City.
