Meditations of a Maverick Rabbi

"This work combines the observations of a man who has spent decades fighting for a more progressive take on Judaism with the memoirs of one who has served as a Jewish Chaplain, Hillel Rabbi and B'nai B'rith Hillel Director at Brandeis University. Through the years he has played an important role in the university setting, and through his important work in prisons, mental hospitals, nursing and convalescent homes, drug addiction and rehab centers, summer camps, and activist movements on behalf of peace in the Middle East and the cause of Soviet Jewry. Compelling reading.
