First edition, limited. Numbered 57 of an edition of 160 of a total edition of 200, signed by the editors, the illustrator and by one of the printers, M.A. Gelfand. Additional contributions by Rhoda Mandbach, Herbert Cahoon, J. Rigbie Turner, Mark Farrell, Janet Ing Freeeman, Richard Priest and Liran Ludeley. A collection of literary ghost-stories, printed by hand on fine paper; a true delight. Fine in mylar dust-wrapper, with prospectus and purchase receipt from the year of publication.

A brief note on our condition statements for modern books.
Fine is the highest statement of condition that we use. It indicates the absence of flaws: scuffing, rubbing, chipping, creasing, denting, tearing, foxing and all the nasty dwarves of time. In the case of modern books, "fine" without further addition means "fine book in fine dust-wrapper" (when a book was issued without dust-wrapper, it is so noted). A fine book is fresh and lovely, as though published just yesterday. (See the Firsts magazine quick reference guide to grading books: "Many antiquarian dealers quite properly never give a book a grade higher than fine.")
Near fine indicates that the book (and its dust-wrapper) are nearly without flaw; for us, even the slightest bump, chip or scratch relegates a book to this designation.
The great majority of our books receive one of the two designations above.
Very good indicates at least a few flaws. In general, very good books do not feel quite as pristine or fresh as fine or near-fine books. They may have, for instance, a large tear to the dust-wrapper, or be soiled. They are eminently readable and sturdy.
Shipping terms
Domestic shipping of average-sized books will be charged a 5 dollar flat rate based on a 2.2 LB or 1 KG weight. For unusually large, heavy, delicate items or international destinations, we shall contact the buyer for arrangements and additional payment. We are happy to accomodate buyers' desires with respect to packing, insurance and method.
