Full-page colour plates, b/w plates, illustrations, pictorial end-papers, bibliography. Dark blue faux leather, upper board and spine titled in silver-gilt with silver-gilt falcon motif. Boards just slightly bumped else very good in frayed and slightly faded dust-wrapper. Signed by the author "Good luck with your new Harris' Hawk, Hal." Numbered copy #1082. "The only up-to-date treatise on falconry and hawking. Also additional chapters on the ecology of rare or little-known species of raptors only found in North America. Special chapter on breeding falcons and hawks in captivity". Contributors: Dr. James H. Enderson, Dr. Sterling Bunnell, Dr. Heinz Meng, Peter J. Asborno, Gene Johnson, Rod & Ellen Gehrlein, and Greg Thomas. This 1985 printing is the Silver Anniversary Edition.
