No. 67 of 75, numbered and signed by the artist ("R. Crumb") in pencil beneath the image. Image approx. 18 x 20 inches. Striking and characteristic R. Crumb image, the great American underground cartoonist’s hommage to Fuseli’s celebrated painting of the same title, rendered in a contemporary setting with a smirking, crouching figure perched atop a sleeping big-hipped gal in knee boots and short dress. Matted and framed (28 x 31 inches overall). Fine. Uncommon No. 67 of 75, numbered and signed by the artist ("R. Crumb") in pencil beneath the image.
