Tall 8vo, xix, errata tp p[xx], 467[1] pp, frontispiece with tissue guard, black and white plates and illustrations to the text, some from photographs by the author, folding pedigree, top edge gilt, remainder untrimmed, original green cloth lettered in gilt, a little rubbed at extremities, generally a handsome copy. Presentation copy from the author to Mrs Leppard, inscribed on front endpaper, dated May 1915, and manuscript corrections to pages 24 and 394, in the same hand. Some of the illustrations in the final part of the volume are in two states, with another copy pasted over the original - the overlaid version possibly slightly better in quality. Wentworth Huyshe's work was published in 1906. Seller Inventory # 6948

I concentrate on books on transport (mainly railways), industrial history, maritime, topography, the Beatles & other groups from the 1960s and interesting ephemera. I particularly specialise in official publicity of the British railway companies. I sell on ABE, on eBay under the moniker 'mr.publicity' and at book and transport collectors' fairs. I keep a modest stock of quality material which is constantly changing - I spend a good deal of my time travelling around the UK seeking out and acquiring new stock.
