Handwritten Edition: Hardback, grey card bds., green spine, black titles, and illustrations on front cover, 165 x 205 mm., 500 g., handwritten and illustrated log from two scouts, including : tracking signs with illustrations, illustrated Life History of a Frog, illustrations of types of birds ie. Birds of Prey, Perchers, Scrapers, Waders and Swimmers. Illustrations of rabbits and parts of trees, a full page illustration of different signs. The handwritten log is in a very neat cursive style and includes : a commentary, 4 Maps of route from Gerrards Cross, Chalfont St Peters to Bury End, Amersham, tissue guarded illustrations of bridge over Misbourne,Ivy Hotel, etc., Graded by Supervisor, F.W. Austin and signed 'Excellent A1' and later A2, Another section titled 'Birds Seen from October 1929, includes notes + 8 hand painted illustrations of birds seen on hike, notes on Nature Hike (for Camper's Badge), with a rough map of Route from Uxbridge - Gerrards Cross. There are several pages with pressed leaves collected during the Hike. Foxing to feps., bds., stained and darkened, Good- copy.
