The deluxe issue, letter "I" of ten signed copies with an additional original signed drawing by Jess, from a total edition of 100. Quarto (32cm); orange card portfolio wrappers with printed paper title label; sewn sheets laid in; [23]pp; three text illustrations. Fine (see note below). Publisher's prospectus laid in. A Duncan rarity. A posthumous collection, published three years after Duncan's death. The portfolio was sold to benefit the Press in Tuscany Alley, the student fine press workshop at San Francisco State University; Peter Koch, director of the program, oversaw the printing. NOTE: the original drawing has been removed by a previous owner and has been professionally matted and framed. As it's an attractive framing job, we've kept it thus; but the portfolio may be purchased with the drawing unframed and laid in as originally issued if that's the buyer's preference.
