Original woodcut print on rice paper , paper size 12 1/4" x 16", image size 8" x 11", pencil signed bottom right with pencil title "Head of a Woman", 6/9, 1964 ? ( pencil faint). Near Fine, bottom edge with 1/2" horizontal fold, small hole edge of right margin. Betty Hahn is best known for her photographic artworks, which have incorporated a range of artistic techniques unconventional to that medium. Her works are in many museum, university, and private collections worldwide, including The Chicago Art Institute, The Museum of Modern Art, J. Paul Getty Museum, and the Smithsonian Institution. This woodcut is an early work, dating from her MFA years at Indiana University in the mid-1960's, and her works from this era are SCARCE.
