About this Item

Partially printed document Signed by Andrew Kingsbury. Approximately 6�" x 7�". Old folds, but crisp and fine. Receipt made out to Ozias Tyler of Watertown and dated on August 2, 1792 for a bit over 22 Pounds. Docketed on verso. Kingsbury, the comptroller of the state of Connecticut, was one of a few commissioners empowered by a 1792 Act of the state legislature in order to collect funds to be given to Yale in order to make improvements. We were aware of the Act, but not of the printed receipts.
