Like David facing Goliath, you won’t believe how Tim Donnelly winds up in the middle of almost every major political battle–always fighting for the little guy. This book takes you on a tumultuous journey, from the Valley of the Shadow of Death and brink of despair, to the mountaintop where faith, family, and friendship weather unpredictable success and epic battles. Donnelly’s new book exposes some of the biggest names in the political establishment, and reveals how his gubernatorial bid served as a preview for the treatment Donald Trump. Patriot Not Politician: Win or Go Homeless will warm your heart, inspire you, and restore your hope that one man, one voice can make a difference–even in California politics.

About the Author
Tim Donnelly is a former California State Assemblyman-serving 2 terms and was a candidate for California Governor in 2014-coming in 3rd (winning almost 650K votes). As a former Minuteman leader in California, Tim is one of the foremost authorities on illegal immigration in the country. In 2010, Tim introduced a law similar to Arizona's SB1070 law in California, ending sanctuary cities, increasing penalties for human trafficking of minors, requiring all employers to use e-verify, but in doing so, granting them protection from nuisance lawsuits, and requiring the enforcement of all immigration laws by state and local governments. In 2013, he led the charge to get Child Protective Services (CPS) audited after CPS in Sacramento County kidnapped a child because the mother wanted a 2nd medical opinion. That same year, Tim's bill AB351, the California Liberty Preservation Act of 2013, which nullifies the NDAA in California, was signed into law. Tim has been a staunch defender of our Civil Liberties, and there is no stronger advocate of the 2nd Amendment in California. In 2014, Tim led the charge in California to secure the release of Sgt. Andrew Tahmooressi, including organizing a massive protest targeting the Mexican President when he came to Sacramento. The protest forced both Gov. Brown and President Nieto to acknowledge Sgt. Tahmooressi's plight. Two months later, our Marine was released. On July 1st, 2015, Tim filed a referendum to repeal SB277-a bill that forces every school-aged child to receive all vaccinations on the schedule, or lose the right to attend a public or a private school in California. In spite of the very abbreviated timeline prescribed in state law to undo the damage they do to our natural rights, Tim organized thousands of volunteers, but fell short of the 366K signatures required, collecting 233K. In the end, the referendum served an important purpose in educating hundreds of thousands of Californians who were unaware, and gave a burgeoning, albeit disjointed movement time to grow and become more organized and connected. In 2016, Tim is featured in an important documentary on gun control. "Targeted--Exposing the Gun Control Agenda", which was shown in theaters across the nation, has just been released on DVD. Tim is blessed with a wonderful wife, Rowena, five sons, and two grandsons. They live in the scenic San Bernardino Mountains, where conservatism is not merely a philosophy; it is a way of life.
