Bound in publisher's yellow cloth lettered in black on the spine. Very Good+ with slight lean to binding, light fading to spine ends and edges. Faint tanning to contents with two small red x's written on the first page. In an About Very Good unclipped dust jacket with chipping, toning and soiling. Splitting at flap joints with light toning to verso. An important collection of ballad poems by Walker, a participant in the Black Chicago Renaissance. With this book she became the first African American woman to win the Yale Younger Poets award.
