Pheasants: Their Breeding and Management by K. C. R. Howman, published by K & R Books Ltd in 1979. A hardback volume from The Bird Keepers Library series, with a cover illustration of a Golden Pheasant by Esdaile Hudson, who also provided the title page illustration. The title page carries a handwritten signature reading "Keith Howman, 11th September 1979". The book is bound in illustrated boards with the same Golden Pheasant artwork repeated on the spine, which also shows the title and author's name in white lettering on a dark panel. The internal pages are clean white stock, with colour photographic plates of various pheasant species, including a Black-Breasted Kalij and a Vieillot's Crested Fireback, alongside printed text. The copyright page confirms the publisher, date and ISBN as above. The covers show light edge wear consistent with age, and the corners appear slightly rubbed in places.
