This attorney and politician succeeded Herbert Brownell Jr. as attorney general under President Eisenhower in 1957, serving until 1961; in 1969 he became President Nixon's secretary of state, serving until 1973 when Henry Kissinger took over. PS, heavy stock 8" X 10", n.p., n.y. Near fine. Handsome matte finish head-and-shoulders soft-focus portrait of Rogers, circa 1970, signed boldly by him in black ink on the blank lower margin.
