Paris, éditions Jouaust, 1879. 2 vol. in-12, XVI-296 pp. + 320 pp., maroquin brun de Stroobants, triple filet doré en encadrement sur les plats, dos à nerfs orné de caissons dorés et mosaïqués de peau rouge, bordure intérieure de maroquin brun ornée de frises dorées, tranches dorées, couverture conservée (quelques petites taches éparses, quelques pâles décharges). Nouvelle édition de cet ouvrage, illustrée par les eaux-fortes en noir d'Adolphe Lalauze, dont un portrait de l'auteur en frontispice signé par le graveur à la mine de plomb, les 52 autres en tête et fin de chapitre; chacune en deux états : l'état définitif et l'état avant la lettre. Un des exemplaires sur vergé van Gelder, non numéroté. L'ouvrage débute sur une préface de Charles Monselet. Belle édition parfaitement établie dans une reliure de Stroobants.
