One-hundred and fifty sets of this edition have been printed on hand-made old stratford paper. Signed by Maurice Maeterlinck on blank frontispiece protected by tissue following half-title page of vol 1; limited to 150 sets; burgundy moroccan leather over boards, five raised bands with opposing borders stamped in gilt, covers with borders stamped in gilt, reverse of wrapped edges stamped in decorative gilt pattern, top edge of block gilt stamped, deckled edge, maroon endpapers; each volume shows minor cracking in leather, minor edge scuffing, light sunning to spine, yellowing to book block, former owner's bookplate on front pastedown, minor shadowing to edges of endpapers, vol 1 has slightly bumped top corners, vol 3 has 1' tear at bottom of rear gutter, vol 4 has small tear in leather at top of spine; each volume spine titled (abbr.) and numbered: 1- Sister Beatrice, Ardiane & Barbe Bleue; 2- Joyzelle, Monna Vanna; 3- The Blue Bird; 4- Mary Magdalene; 5- Pelleas and Melisande, Alladine and Palomides, Home; 6- Princess Maleine; 7- The Intruder, The Blind, The Seven Princesses, The Death of Tintagiles; 8- Aglavaine and Selysette; 9- Poems.
