Item description from seller

Autograph letter signed, 2-pages 8vo with integral leaf to 'My dear Cust' thanking him for 'presenting my enquiries' and wondering 'where things go. It reminds me that when I lived in London I illuminated my dining-table with "Palace ends" they were very good wax candles which I could buy at a grocer's shop in Oxford St. ! ! Do come here when you visit Oxford. Perhaps then I shall be able to show you the alternative to the Royal Standard - for I think I have hit on one.'. Chilswell, Oxford, March 14, 1925.
