Item description from seller

Thick 4to hardcover volume in cloth boards with a leather spine. Spine has small chip at top and front board is basically off. Endpapers not marked. Signed on inner end paper to a Franklin Taylor and also includes a 5 page letter to Taylor. Letter describes writing the book and also the second book he wrote. This book seems to be quite scarce in a original copy. We could find no others. Sheppard was also a very good artist and raced boats.
