About the Author
Rod developed an interest for ancient Roman history in college. What started as an infatuation quickly developed into a desire to learn more about the Praetorian Guard. This led him to several years of researching articles, books and historical accounts describing the elite military unit, especially during the reigns of Tiberius Caesar and Gaius "Caligula" Caesar. This research helped greatly in lending authenticity to his writing. He is a veteran of the U.S. Army, spent ten years in law enforcement and has a B.A. in Political Science.
