The foremost authority on the famous outlaw hero presents an authorative analysis in this controversial book, researched and documented through the ballads and archive material. In this fascinating study into the lives of the legendary characters Jim Lees unfolds his evidence to reveal the real identity of Robin Hood and his family origins, the actual location of "Barnsdale", at the same time exploding the myths and claims of all previous investigators. With the text edited by Keith Mellor, and graphically illustrated, it is essential reading for historians, and descendants of Britain's heritage the world over.
