Rheinland (Leipzig: Georg Wigand 1838-1840), Bd. 9. Blatt leicht stockfleckig. Sonst guter Zustand.Henry Winkles (um 1800 - 1860). Auch Heinrich Winkles. Englischer Architekturmaler und Stahlstecher. Beschickte 1819-23 und 1832 die Ausstellungen der Royal Academy in London. Als Stahlstecher zunächst für William Tombleson in London tätig. Eröffnete 1824 in Karlsruhe mit Carl Ludwig Frommel das erste Atelier für Stahlstich in Deutschland. 1832 wieder in London tätig. Gründete später ein eigens Atelier Winkles & Lehmann in Leipzig.Carl Ludwig Frommel (1789 Schloß Birkenfeld in Unterfranken - 1863 Ispringen bei Pforzheim). Deutscher Maler, Zeichner, Radierer und Kupferstecher. Schüler von Philipp Jakob Becker in Karlsruhe für die Malerei. Die Kupferstecherei erlernte er bei Christian Haldenwang. Er ging 1809 nach Paris, weilte 1813-17 in Rom. Ab 1817 in Karlsruhe ansässig. Wurde dort zum Professor der Malerei und Kupferstecherkunst ernannt. 1824 eröffnete Frommel zusammen mit Henry Winkles ein Atelier für Stahlstecher und führte damit die Stahlstecherei in Deutschland ein. 1829-58 stand er der Galerie in Karlsruhe als Direktor vor.
