Item description from seller

271p. INSCRIBED BY JOHN PATRIC. A hardcover book in near-fine condition with a very good dustjacket. Foredges lightly foxed. Tanned patches on pages 72 and 73. Otherwise clean and tight. The eye-catching illustrated jacket is lightly edgeworn, but otherwise intact. Inscribed by John Patric on the half title page and facing blank endpaper. The account of an undercover investigation into the dishonest dealings of repairmen and fix-it shops across America. Illustrated by Ralph Clark. Comes with an advertising pamphlet and order form for another of Patric's books, YANKEE HOBO IN THE ORIENT. The dustjacket is a great wrap-around illustration of Main Street and its various repair shops.
